Accessible kitchen
A kitchen that works for everyone
For a wheelchair user, someone with back pain, low vision, one working hand, or an older cook. We check heights, clearances and turning space against Ukraine's DBN V.2.2-40 “Inclusive buildings and structures”, and where the Ukrainian standard is silent, we draw on guidance from other countries and say where it comes from.
Our knowledge base holds kitchen accessibility rules; of them are Ukrainian DBN standards.
Who cooks?
Choose who the kitchen should suit
You can pick several — for example, if two people cook in your family. We'll show what changes in the kitchen and which rule it rests on.
Pick one or more answers — the changes and their rules will appear.
What changes
Reach range
What you can reach from a wheelchair
A side view of a standard kitchen and an accessible one. Green is within reach, grey with a stripe is not. Over a worktop, your reach is lower than at a clear wall.
Turning space
Can a wheelchair turn around in your kitchen?
Slide to set the kitchen width — wall to wall, across the cabinets — and choose how the cabinets are laid out.

Every kitchen accessibility rule
Ukrainian DBN standards are mandatory. Rules from the US, the UK and Poland are recommendations: we use them where our standard says nothing.

The configurator will open with what you chose above — you add the rest.
Final dimensions come after measuring; for a wheelchair user we check every decision against DBN V.2.2-40.
